What are strategic implants or single-piece implants?
Strategic implants, also known as single-piece implants, are one-piece dental implants anchored in the cortical bone, the hardest and most stable area of the bone. This helps avoid bone grafts in most cases and allows fixed teeth to be loaded in a very short time.
How long does it take to get fixed teeth with strategic implants?
In most cases, our patients receive their provisional fixed teeth within 24 to 72 hours after surgery with strategic implants. Later, the final zirconia prosthesis or another definitive material is placed once the tissues have stabilized.
Do strategic implants avoid bone grafts and complex surgeries?
Yes. By working with the cortical bone, strategic implants usually allow patients with limited bone to be treated without the need for grafts, sinus lifts, or re-entry surgeries. This reduces treatment time, discomfort, and the risk of complications.
